Pledge On Transfiguration Sunday
We are crossing an important milestone this year as we intentionally raise support for Father Eirik’s full-time ministry to Light of Christ. How exciting! This step is an affirmation of our mission to reach our communities with the love, hope, and healing of Jesus Christ.
This past Sunday, we were encouraged by the Apostle Peter’s declaration that we are a royal priesthood. One way we express our priesthood is by offering ourselves: our spiritual gifts, resources and prayers.
On the final Sunday of Epiphany, February 15th, we will ask you to pledge your financial contribution for the next 2 years. This will help our leadership team discern how best to plan and pray for our mission goals.
Of course, our tithes and offerings are just one important expression of worship and service. We’ve also asked you to offer your prayers of intercession and your spiritual gifts. We are asking you to include information about your prayers and talents on your pledge cards so that Father Eirik can best serve and guide us in the months to come.
God has revived and equipped His Church throughout time to bear witness of His love. What a privilege to be a part of God’s work here in southeastern Wisconsin!
In Messiah,
Steve
