Mission Statement: Relating

This week we’ve been drilling down in to the bullet points of our Mission statement:

Our Mission— In Draft Form

We are dedicated to:

  • Revealing the Gospel of Christ
  • Reclaiming God’s Promises
  • Relating to God and each other
  • Rejoicing in the Holy Spirit

… in order to receive and minister Christ’s love, hope and healing as members of Light of Christ on mission in Southeast Wisconsin.

Today, let’s look a little more closely at relating:

Relating

We frequently and regularly gather for worship, prayer, counsel, friendship, sharing hospitality, and simply living life together in our church facilities, in our homes and in other places in the community.


And all who believed were together and had all things in common… And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved. (Acts 2:44-47, ESV)


And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.(Heb 10:24-25, ESV)
